Scan IQ AI Data Handling and Usage
Overview:
This article provides guidance on how data is handled when using our platform, including AI processing, privacy considerations, and administrative oversight.
1. Use of Data for Model Training
Data processed through the APIs we use (OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini) is not used to train or improve AI models unless explicitly opted in. All data processing is strictly for service delivery purposes.
2. Handling of PII and PHI
Personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) are not automatically redacted. The LLM does not retain memory of or ongoing access to prior requests or documents once a request is completed.
3. LLM Vendors and Data Processing
Currently, data may be processed by OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), and Google (Gemini). This list may evolve if additional vetted vendors are integrated. Any such changes will adhere to the same data-protection standards.
4. AI Use in Client-Facing Content
AI is only used to assist in extracting information from documents for display to advisors within our platform. AI-generated content is never sent directly to clients.
5. Administrative Oversight of AI Outputs
Compliance and administrative teams can access and review the full history of scanned documents and the results of AI data extraction. This allows for centralized review of AI outputs as needed.
